Something To Ease The Pain [open]

The door opened and Remus Lupin walked in. It had been a month since he had been out and about, after the honeymoon. He was pale, unshaven, and looking, very shabby indeed. He had been looking after his son constantly as he was just a baby. Tonks had disappeared when he was on holiday with Hunter and Pandora and the children. He had been in a state ever since, and it showed.

He walked over to the bar and opened a large glass of wine, some whiskey and some steak and ale pie for some dinner. He took the two drinks and took them to a table and seated himself down, while he waited for his meal.

Luna walked in slowly, with a confussed look on her face yet still she wasn't confussed. She ran her hand through her hair and walked up to the barman and asked for a butterbeer, slipping over the money and recivng her drink. She thanked the barman with her normal dreamy voice and turned around seeing the Professor there, she smiled widely. "Hello Professor." She said slowly, in her soft Irish accent.

Lupin looked around and saw Luna as he sat down ".. Hello Luna." he said forcing a smile "Please just call me Remus, as I am no longer a professor... not now anyway.. have too much happening I need to get sorted before I think about going back to Hogwarts.

He tired and shadowed eyes looked over to his wine. He picked it up and gulped from the glass before putting it down and rubbing his brow. "... are you alright Luna?"

Luna smiled brightly as she sipped her drink, nodding and looking around as she rubbed her neck with her gloves hands. "Ive been ok Remus, Hogwarts has been quiet relaxing for me." She smiled, as she seemed to drift off at the end of her sentence.

"How is everything going with you Remus? Are you keeping well? How is baby Teddy?" She smiled slowly again, her eyes glisterning in the light that shone threw the widow, bouncing of her earings.

Remus looked back to her and frowned "..how do you know about Teddy? and things could be much better at the moment.. been looking after him by myself, for over a month now .. if my wife doesn't come back, I might have to give him up.. I am too tired to raise a child on my own now.." Remus took his whiskey and gulped it down in one.

"Oh- I heard it from a teacher." She nodded but couldn't remeber excatally who as Remus could proberly tell by her puzzled look. "Well, If you do ever need any help-.." She paued for a moment and smiled, "I can always try." She nodded, knowing she would always try her best.

".. thank you Luna, but you are busy enough..just have to keep looking for Dora... she vanished on our honeymoon.. not seen her since..."
Out of nowhere one of the staff came and placed his meal down infront of him before leaving. Remus took the knife and fork dug in, looking as though he hadn't eaten on over a week.

"Oh-..thats bad." Luna stated the obvious and sat down slowly on a chair near the table Remus was at, she didn't want to seem rude so she looked away and down to the floor. She didn't say anymore seeing as Remus was enjoying his meal, she occasionally sipped her drink.

He soon finished it and pushed the plate to the side and leaned back in his chair, resting his hands on his beer belly he had gotten over the time he left Hogwarts.
He closed his eyes as the warmth of the fire warmed his face and he soon started to doze off into a slumber after drinking and having the large meal....
